Anna Smith Strong of Setauket, New York was an American Patriot, and she may have been one of the only female members of the Culper Spy Ring during the American Revolution. She was born April 14th, 1740 in Long Island, New York.

We just finished the series Turn, and loved it! I always naively thought that the patriots were destined to win the Revolution. I didn’t know how much of a miracle it is that America exists!

Oh yeah we were definitely the underdogs!

It’s just that I thought the Revolutionaries were a cohesive unit and that they were all on the same page fighting as underdogs together. What I didn’t realize is the treachery and plots against Washington from other patriots!
