U.S Civil History╽Eyewitness Account of Abraham Lincoln’s Shooting & Death

Abraham Lincoln died on April 15th, 1865. He was shot while sitting in the presidential box of the Ford’s Theater located in Washington while sitting with Mary Todd Lincoln, Clara Harris, and Henry Rathbone. Lincoln was watching a popular comedy play titled Our American Cousin when John Wilkes Booth entered the theater and shot Lincoln.

Civil War Tragedy | Man Unknowingly Kills Son During The Battle Of Malvern Hill

The Battle of Malvern Hill, also known as the Battle of Poindexter’s Farm, was fought on July 1st, 1862. The battle was the last in a series know as the Seven Days Battle. The Union lost around three-thousand men and the Confederates lost over five-thousand; however, the greatest tragedy was a father’s grief when he realized he shot his own son.
