The Most Doubted of All – A Poem By Samantha Sebesta
“He was the most doubted of all – The one who’d let her spirit fall”
This has been quite a crazy week and I’ve been busier then I expected! I meant to post part two of Stalking The Dearly Departed by this morning at latest; however, I am going to have to post that on Sunday instead. Work, family, and book writing is definitely giving me a run for my money. Plus all this awful summer heat is really not helping my motivation in the slightest. The new house doesn’t have any AC hooked up and that’s killing me. Wake me up when September ends!
Also, my youngest just got his first E-Bike. I am utterly terrified of that thing! Logically, I get that he is sixteen years old. There shouldn’t be an issue with him having one, but better believe every wrong scenario and worst case situation keeps playing through my mind. Why did my nephews have to grow up?! I just want to keep them safe and little forever…
Anyways, pray for his safety and my sanity. I will have anxiety for the rest of my life due to these kids! Oldest isn’t any better about making me less worried. He has a car now! Well, with that said, for today’s post, I am sharing a quick poem called The Most Doubted of All. A story about letting go of love when the person cannot be trusted. I hope you enjoy!

The Most Doubted Of All
By Samantha Sebesta
She wandered through his endless maze
The promise now a distant drum
A silent storm where hearts still sung
He would never understand her plea
Her words a breeze now across the sea
Lost in the booming echo of her sigh
He watched the teardrop leave her eye
He was the most doubted of all
The one who’d let her spirit fall
Her heart grew weary from the fight
A fleeing star long out of sight
In whispered lies and stifled cries
She felt his love, a thin disguise
A fragile hope on broken ground
Where dreams are lost and found
He reached for her, but she withdrew
His heart too false, his soul untrue
A lighthouse lost in foggy shrouds
He was the most doubted of all
And as she fell from grace, forlorn
In love’s cold dusk, her heart was torn
The promise he made were all too thin
A tale of loss, where she could not win
For in his gaze, she saw no light
No refuge from the endless night
He was the most doubted of all
The one who’d let her spirit fall

Beautiful and moving poem Samantha. I don’t think that worry of keeping kids safe ever goes away- you just worry about different things at different ages. But the thing to remember is that they and you will be okay 🙂
Nope it will never. Having kids means there will always be a ball of worry at the pitt of your stomach. It’s impossible not to when you love someone that much! As a momma bear yourself. I know you get it!
Wonderful poem, Samantha. Don’t worry too much about him riding an e-bike. Wait until he starts getting ready to get his driver’s license. I’m in that phase with my 16-year-old son. He’s getting ready to get his driver’s license. 😱
Thank you so much Edward!
