Resolving Technical Issues: The Chronicles of History Back Online
Happy Saturday, everyone! I’m pleased to announce that all the issues have been worked out after major technical glitches. The Chronicles of History is back online! Thankfully, everything seems to have been resolved. I didn’t have to do a complete redesign, luckily, but there has been a major overhaul of the previous layout, with some major changes incorporated into a slightly new look. This couldn’t be avoided, as some blocks I had used for the homepage’s format had been discontinued.
There have been several points in the last few days where I had to take things offline, and unfortunately, I did find myself having some hiccups that required me to do a complete restore of the backup. This occurred a few times over the past two days, and twice this morning, which means that a lot of comments were deleted. Please know I did see them and respond, but the restore took them out, and I’ve not figured out a way to bring them back. Please accept my apologies for that part.
The lost comments are now a casualty of war. Now with that said, I believe at this point, all is well. There shouldn’t too many more changes. I do have a few things in mind like font size and color for the homepage that I may adjust, I am debating that right now but all in all the site is back in the game! I am very happy with it. I appreciate all the support and understanding!
As for the planned post, there have been some major delays. The last couple days have simply been about fixing the site. I’ve not had a single moment to look into the post I meant to publish. I know many of you are still waiting for Stalking the Dearly Departed Part Two. Please know that it is coming and will be posted the second I am able, which will likely be about Tuesday morning, but perhaps if tomorrow is a slow day, then on Monday at some point. Thank you so much for your patience!

Thank you! WordPress support was no help but I did redesign the entire site so I am very happy with it now! In the end, I am sort of okay with things messing up because I think I really love how it looks now. My website just looks better to me, so maybe it was a blessing disguised as a headache. I love how it looks now, and in the process I did manage to simplify a lot of things and make the process of posting and keeping up the site way easier. No manually adjusting the homepage after each post, and just feel it has a cleaner simpler look. So yay! Thank you so much for always being here! sending you hugs!

I just did, and it looks great on my iPhone. I’ll take another look using my desktop. I really like the scroll-through animation at the top of your site for your latest posts. Was that there before? The menu looks professional and tidy.
I had something similiar but I changed it a lot in the file editor. I’ve learned a lot about coding this past week, because I wanted to keep the same theme but make some changes on it, so I reworked the theme codes to suit what I was after. Thank god for the internert because changing codes is complicated! I am so happy you like it. My goal was simple, profressional, and clean. Thank you for taking a look!

Haha thank you. I am actually really happy with the new look so maybe the disaster was a blessing in disguise? I love the look so much better now that I did an overhaul.
