I was given a free copy of Salem Academy: A Magical Academy Anthology by BBB Publishing to provide an honest review of my thoughts and I quite enjoyed this read. Now for those of you who don’t know what an Anthology is already, it is a collection of stories written by many different authors.
Salem Academy was written by the following authors: Alexis Taylor, Beth Hendrix, Hannah Morse, Annee Jones, M Guida, Rae Tina, Natalie-Nicole Bates, Jennifer Allis Provost, & Mary Dean. Published August 10th, 2022.
The book was a fun, lighthearted, and casual read that I really enjoyed from the start. I believe there was seven decent short stories. It is hard to decide which ones were my favorite but I really enjoyed the first one Daphne, and also Bloodline Curse as well although all of them were very good.
Too be honest, I have not been a massive reader of anthologies before this because just haven’t ever picked any up. My mind has been changed though and I want to read more anthologies in the future. My favorite part of there being many shorter stories into one, is that it is easy to read one, without commitment, and go back to the others. No stop and go. I liked that a lot.
My favorite part of this book was that the fact they were all about Salem witches and was fun to read each of their stories. They all are brilliantly written. I have been wanting to do more reading geared towards witched. I love fantasy and supernatural genre, and this was right up my alley.
